Yo-Yo Says R. Kelly’s Crew Once Put His Number In Her Daughter’s Phone
Saturday night (January 19th), TMZ caught up with veteran emcee Yo-Yo as she entered the Trumpet Awards at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta. Naturally, the outlet brought up the topic of R. Kelly and the controversy surrounding the newly-minted Surviving R. Kelly documentary series.
When prompted, Yo-Yo revealed that she frequently visited R. Kelly at his Los Angeles studio and that in one instance she brought along her daughter who would later tell her mother that one of the members of R. Kelly’s camp put the singer’s number in her phone.
“I actually went to listen to his music and my daughter came with me,” she tells the outlet in the clip. “The sad part was when we got home, my daughter said, ‘Mom, someone passed me R. Kelly’s number. I said, ‘What!?’ She’s like, ‘Mom, please don’t say nothing. This is why I didn’t tell you.’
“I didn’t say anything, but you know, it really let me know there is a real problem,” she continues. “It really let me know that there really is a problem because with all of that that was going on for that to still happen — and it happened to me. I was thinking I’m your friend. I come here with my daughter who’s over 21, but you don’t know my daughter’s age, and behind my back? You will slide my daughter your number? That’s just weird to me, like a weirdo. Who would do that?”
Yo-Yo went on to add that she did not fully recognize the seriousness of the issue at hand until it involved her child, adding that she fully sympathizes with R. Kelly’s alleged victims.https://mileagemagazine.com/hiphop-news/yo-yo-says-r-kellys-crew-once-put-his-number-in-her-daughters-phone/https://mileagemagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/1548035045_0b1d02ff7a68e1db9e997947a5d4d1f9.jpghttps://mileagemagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/1548035045_0b1d02ff7a68e1db9e997947a5d4d1f9-150x150.jpgHip Hop News
